For Parents Who Refuse to Let Go

Your Parents Hold Stories Your Children Will Never Hear.

Unless you become the bridge. TheLineageApp helps you capture your parents' voices, preserve your family's moments, and pass it all down — so your children always know where they come from.

Your Children
The Problem

The gap between generations is growing. Every day it gets wider.

Your parents have a lifetime of stories, wisdom, and memories. Your children are growing up fast. You're the only link between them — and time is not waiting.

🕯️

Stories vanish with the storyteller

When a loved one passes, their untold stories go with them. The way your father laughed. Your mother's childhood. Gone — unless someone captures them first.

🌍

Distance scatters families

Diaspora families span continents. Grandparents in Accra, parents in Houston, cousins in London. Precious moments happen — and the family misses them.

Children don't know where they come from

Most children can't name their great-grandparents. Without intentional preservation, your family's identity fades within two generations.

Do your children know where they come from?

Some parents will read this and feel something. A pull. A quiet urgency. Those are the parents TheLineageApp was built for — the ones who refuse to let their family's story die with them.

A New Kind of Parenting Flex

The parents who preserve are the parents who care the most.

In a world of vacation photos and material flexes, the parent who says "my daughter can hear her great-grandmother's voice" is operating on a completely different level.

My son came home from school very sad. A classmate was sharing grandfather stories, and he had none to tell. My father passed a few weeks before meeting his grandson. I promised myself — no family should lose their stories this way. That's why we built TheLineageApp.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know

Yes. Every user gets 2GB of free storage — enough for hundreds of photos, dozens of videos, and years of stories. Premium features with additional storage will be available in the future, but the core experience of preserving and sharing family memories is free.

When a family member joins using your invitation code, they automatically receive your complete family tree — everyone you've already added. Your sister doesn't have to re-add your mother. Your cousins don't have to rebuild what you already built. One family, one tree, shared by everyone.

Absolutely. Your family's memories are sacred. We use encryption in transit and at rest, and your data is never shared publicly, never used for advertising, and never sold to third parties. Only family members you invite can access your content. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Traditional genealogy platforms focus on historical records and building trees backward in time. TheLineageApp captures living memories — the voices, stories, photos, and videos of the family members who are alive today, before those memories are lost forever. We're a family memory platform, not a genealogy database.

Users must be 18 or older to create an account. Children can be added to the family tree by a parent or guardian, but they can't create their own accounts. This protects children's privacy while still making them part of the family story.

You're always in control. When you request deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period where you can change your mind by simply logging back in. After 30 days, your personal data is permanently removed. See our Terms of Service for full details.

That's exactly who we built this for. Whether your family spans two countries or ten, everyone connects through the same family tree. TheLineageApp was created by diaspora families who understand what it means to keep connections alive across continents.
